serious thanks to johnny english and his wife abbey for letting us put the shed in their yard and store all the gear there-- for now anyway, problem solved.

next problem: where the F is everybody? turnouts have been pretty weak lately, and as far as i know danimal is the only one with a newborn baby at home for an excuse!

07.17 recap and Tuesday-- the new Saturday

at least while we have the daylight!

not much of a turnout on a hot saturday this weekend-- tho worth mentioning that first-timer blake showed up with roller blades, lol. to his credit he drove all the way home to grab his sneaks and was a solid contribution to quality of play. SQ outdid himself by coordinating the color of his hat, shorts, and socks (making it better was scottie claiming he didn't know about the socks-- uh-huh, sure). Team USA roster

Olympia recap

Operation Boogie Nights was a tremendous success-- unless of course, if you were expecting it to mirror the movie even remotely. Those of us who took on the monsoon driving conditions for the trip south to Olympia were greeted by a blast from the past in the form of a 1970s roller-rink time capsule. Greenwood Elementary

great turnout last weekend everybody-- and the hockey gods obliged by keeping the rain off our backs. with the number of people showing up lately we really need to be playing at greenwood elementary; it's 5-on-5 and a bigger surface which will be better for those of us representing in vegas this february. we should also start playing with the bouncy ball for half the games (in my opinion) for the next couple months and maybe a red-line offsides too.

Vancouver Tourney Recap

It was a humbling trip to the great white north for the Seattle Tsunami as we were completely outclassed in the C division. First off, thanks to Bubbles for all the leg work and organizing the trip-- it went very smoothly considering all the logistical mish-mash going on with people staying all over the place and coming at different times. Volunteer Work Party

Hey everybody, last saturday someone from the church stopped by while we were playing hockey to talk to us about the use of the parking lot. Basically he pointed out they have been turning a blind eye to our board/goal storage, and the games in general, and he was asking if we would be willing to help them with some general cleanup around the buildings where we store our stuff.

Saturday Night Poker

if anyone is interested my buddy is having a poker game at his house on saturday night. he lives just south of north seattle community college, which is immediately west of I-5 and south of northgate.

it's a cash game with a $20 buy-in and things usually get pretty rowdy.

12/29 hockey?

Hey folks-- i'm getting ready to leave the foothills of Mt. Baker
(11am) and head for seattle. i should be back in plenty of time
for a 2pm game. i know there's a lot of folks out of town, but
after last weekend i figure we should be able get a game going.
