Greenwood Elementary
great turnout last weekend everybody-- and the hockey gods obliged by keeping the rain off our backs. with the number of people showing up lately we really need to be playing at greenwood elementary; it's 5-on-5 and a bigger surface which will be better for those of us representing in vegas this february. we should also start playing with the bouncy ball for half the games (in my opinion) for the next couple months and maybe a red-line offsides too.
here's the rub: people need to help set up the boards. the one set at st. john's is a breeze, but getting the full rink configuration takes time and bodies. i will not be doing that on my own. not only is it not feasible but, it will take too long without help. this means people need to start showing up at 1:30 instead of 2:15.
if we get people showing up great: we'll play on the bigger, smoother, better surface. if people don't show up than it's st. john with smaller passing lanes and longer waits for playing time.
the choice is yours! and remember: only YOU can prevent forest fires.

Hopefully having a community goalie gear set will help out when we're short between the pipes. Will buy it as soon as I have enough money in the kitty. Maybe we should make 1:30 the new time...

Saliba was already there when I showed up at 1:35. Greg and a new guy came a few minutes later and we proceeded to get the boards up before two. A few stragglers showed up around 3. Only one goalie for the most of the day though. Good games though, pretty even teams and a good effort by all.

I'm out of town this week. Hopefully, people are checking ssh before the game. Let me know if my 1:30 speech was effective. I doubt it... We play every Saturday...

just show up at 2 and if no one is there puttin up the boards play w/ no boards. oh and what the hell happened to the wings lats night, shoulda had conklin in net i say. pistons are gettin beat right now, and the lions are goin 0-16 baby, here comes #1 draft pick. i'm out goin to the bar, playin ice at noon tomorrow, peace out. oh like the offside idea, good luck w/ that.

I will not be there to help set up. I'll be out most of November and December. Forest fires? Are you talking about Puff the Magic Dragon?
