Thanks to everyone who emailed me regarding Team USA for this weekend's CanAm Series.

Probably the only logistical challenge for USA over the last few years has been too many players.  As captain I'm relaying the wishes of the majority here by closing our roster.  It's the feeling of many that this is a special weekend, different from the weekly pickup games, that we all look forward to and it can be disappointing and frustrating to stand around waiting on a bench that is 20 deep with players.  It's tough to make this an exclusionary team, but again it is one weekend out of the whole year!

All that having been said, if you don't see your name on the list then you are not on this year's roster.  My apologies to those who have missed out but this game has been posted on SSH for over a month, and the Team USA roster post has been up for four weeks-- so if you haven't taken the time to respond than it's likely your own fault!

If your name is not on the list you are welcome to come out and cheer on the team and be a reserve/injury replacement; or you can show up and try to plead your case, but again-- I am the messenger here relaying the will of the people that we keep the roster numbers down this year so your chances probably are not good.
