PROST PUB Hooky ski day!

Yeah, I know it's not hockey related but.

 

Wed Feb 8th is the Prost Pub ski day to Crystal Mt. $75 gets you.

Bus ride from Prost to Mt. and back.

Lift ticket

All the beer you can drink on the bus.

Two beer tokens to use at Prost after.

Steve Weinreich, Jason Mercio and I are going and last year's day was awesome.

FANTASY HOCKEY MANAGER NEEDED!

SSFHL needs someone to take over a team for the up coming season that starts on Monday.

The guy that was suppose to run the squad has a family emergency and won't be able to manage his team.

Please see Benny D our commish if you're interested in getting involved with our fantasy hockey league. Last year

was great session and this one should be just as good.

BBQ is ON!

Adam & Tasha have offered to host BBQ hour or so after game! 3409 NW Market St.

Tom Adams will be cooking for us but we still need help. Bring your $, drinks & a side dish. Side dish if you can.

UPDATE: Can Am game/BBQ this Saturday 5 June

Game time is NOON sharp.

USA will be blue. Canada is red. Bring a white shirt as well.

Due to more crappy weather (What is this!?) we might cancel the BBQ. We'll decide on Friday as what to do.

Might end up being a on the fly BYO event. Which sometimes can be the best BBQs.

Canada vs US game

My reason for making it JUST hockey was simply to keep everything loose and informal as possible.

I still believe in the idea of having the CanAm game. On June 5th or before we can decide to split the group by

nationality. If the majority would like to do it. I'm all for it.

I just don't want to add any pressure or complicate the Saturday. Simple and fun is the foundation of SSH.

Canada vs USA game becomes just HOCKEY & BBQ! on JUNE 5

In keeping with Seattle street hockey's roots. I have decided to make the June 5th game just a great hockey day & BBQ. Game time is noon sharp at Adams Elem.
EVERYONE is invited to join in and come to the BBQ at Peto's. 756 N 81st St, corner of 81st & Linden.

Canada vs USA World Juniors

Anyone going to be around on Thur. 31 DEC to watch Canada vs US at the World Juniors? Game is at 5pm. If there is any interest I'll call around to pubs. Not sure if it'll interfere with the Tostitos Nacho cheese dip bowl game?

Canada vs USA game/BBQ!

Game is on Saturday 27 June at the Greenwood school. The normal place we play. Game time is NOON so we can BBQ. Come early to the school to help set up and start on time. Game will be a best of 7 series.

USA is blue jerseys. Canada is red.

3rd annual Canada vs US game/BBQ!

Time to start getting organized for the 3rd annual game. I'm looking at Sat Jun 13 in SEATTLE. This year I will need some help in putting it together. With a few people, we could split up the duties of picking up the food and beer.

Up coming Canada vs USA game!

3rd annual game is coming soon.



I want to take a vote on having this year's game (1st weekend of June) at the outdoor rink in Ladner, BC (Not far from border).

voting closes midnight saturday. Any vote after midnight won't be included. VOTE/Comment to this blog WITH A YAY or NAY, NOTHING ELSE!

This way we can keep track of who voted and get an accurate count.

We'll also have to make sure we get enough American players for this to happen.

Anyone interested in hitting Bleachers Pub on Wed. the 31st at 4:30pm to watch the USA/Canada World Jr. hockey game? Should be a good one on the big screen.

Canada vs USA game and BBQ

Start time will be noon on Saturday. If we get rain, we'll head to St. Andrews as usual. I'll advise on Thursday what the situation will be. Remember to bring a folding chair if the BBQ is on. Don't forget the side dish for the BBQ and $10 if you haven't paid me yet for the other stuff (beer). I know who has paid. Not sure yet on how we'll run the game. Canada vs USA game!

It's official. Saturday 14 June, 2008 is the 2nd annual Canada vs USA game/BBQ. We're not sure how will run the match or how many players we'll have. We can start a discussion on this.

I have two blank reversible jerseys left for $25 a piece. One large and one Med. All those with the blank jerseys (Michigan John and I can't remember the other one, Rainer?) can place a group order with Gary and get there Tsunami logos and number on! let me know when you do this so you don't pick a number that is already taken.

Vegas! baby Vegas!

One quick word. I will never mention Bobby Lou and Aaron Voros together again on this blog. Nuf said, We have 9 committed for Vegas by my count so far. Let me know if I have this right. Bobby Lou sets franchise record!

Luongo registers third shutout in a row! Best Canucks game I've seen live since we beat Ottawa in a SO 2 years ago. Luongo in his past seven games at GM place has only allowed one goal from Minn's Aaron Voros while facing his last 84 opposing forwards on home ice. The man is a god.
