NEW AND IMPROVED!

Hey everyone, after some fiddling with the banner design some more (added the Olympics and the Space Needle!), and working on a good color scheme for the site for the past hour and a half, I'm finally satisfied with the way things look. So, let me know if this is cool with everyone, or if anyone has an issue with readability or anything (or, just hates the colors, in which case, too bad! ha ha).

Anywho, hope you all enjoy the new look... I had fun working on it, so thanks to Vinnie… Continue

Regular game 12/15, check out the new logo banner!

Thanks to everyone (>20!) who came to play in glorious fall weather last week.

Accuweather (tip to Cory) predicts cloudy at 2pm on Saturday so we might avoid the rain. Same time 2pm, same place (Greenwood Elementary). Check out our new slick top banner! Big props and good karma…

VEGAS TOURNEY???

Hey, Brad again. So I'm sure the 4 spots have probably already been filled, but if they haventttttt I got two guys from MICHIGAN that wanna play on our team! They're pretty good players and I've played with them both before in ice hockey leagues. They also don't hog the ice / court like I was doing last Saturday, don't worry I'll be sure to cut down my shifts and step up my play for the tourney hah. The one kid, Paul Quale, is actually moving in w/ me at the apartment so he could play a couple… Continue

I'm going to Vegas!

I took the plunge and bought me a roundtrip ticket! I am so stoked about this! Kevin, I got a check for you, you'll get it tomorrow, 12/6. Thanks again for spearheading this. Damn! I love the enthusiasm! Gotta start thinking about names for the team...Emerald City Bruisers? Emerald City Growlers - that's even better, a little play on words - a growling, fierce animal, and a 'growler' as in a half-gallon of beer! Mmmmmm.... So, I found the best deals through Hotwire, looking for nonstops and… Continue

Indoor Roller Hockey

Indoor roller hockey every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM at Redmond Athletic Club. $10.00 drop in. Large surface, players welcome. Trying to get enough players interested to set up a small league or round robin mini season for fun. Hope as many of you who play outside in Seattle on Saturday, can join us on Sunday inside.

Snow Hockey 12/01/07

Pretty passes, inside-outside dekes, and all-out running need not apply. The December 1st snow hockey was all about frozen toes, snail-speed passes and a new meaning to the term face wash! A great turnout of 12 players resulted in some highly entertaining 5-on-5 play and spirited hockey to kick off the month of December. Some of the highlights included goalie Dan charging the cherry pickers in full slide for a good 5 or 6 feet, airborne passes galore,…

Bobby Lou sets franchise record!

Luongo registers third shutout in a row! Best Canucks game I've seen live since we beat Ottawa in a SO 2 years ago. Luongo in his past seven games at GM place has only allowed one goal from Minn's Aaron Voros while facing his last 84 opposing forwards on home ice. The man is a god.

Saturday 12/1 street hockey in the snow?

Hope you all had a good game last week. I'm back to play this week. The forecast calls for chance of snow! Old school hockey like we used to play in Quebec! Should be good. Way back in the day, I knocked a front tooth playing in snow boots in -30 weather.

BTW, Kevin and Schneuer are taking the lead on organizing this winter's…

Crush those desert dogs!

Good luck to all who are going to Arizona this weekend. Teach 'em that sand and hockey don't go well together!

Game recap, Tucson tour and game this Saturday?

Another great turnout last week. The game got started late but it turned out very nicely. In net, we had another battle of Dan the intern vs. Dan the man. I think it was pretty even in the end

This week, a bunch of us are going on tour to represent http://www.SeattleStreetHockey.com against our archrival in…

Who's playing in Seattle this Saturday?

Hey! While some pretties are going down to AZ to work on their tans, who's up for playing some more pick-up back here in the Emerald City on the 10th? Count me in! If you plan on playing, let us know here so we're not left wondering! We need goalies, yeh? And goalie equipment?

To the fellas who are going down to Tucson (remember, don't give them the silent 'c' - make it "Tuck-son"), good luck and rub 'em into the ground!

Cheers, Adam
