CanAm 2012 - Team Canada undefeated going for the 6-peat

One of my favorite ssh tradition, the CanAm game is back! Team Canada, still undefeated is going for the 6-peat...  Vegas odds listed at -1000... Will team USA cause a major upset? Who will walk away with the coveted Koh Smythe? That's why we play the game...Drop a comment if you're A) Canadian citizen, B) You played enough ssh (otherwise,…See More

New nets, thanks Koh, Rob, and thanks everybody for generously donating!

Posted on September 19, 2011 at 10:00am 4 Comments

Thanks Koh for picking up the new nets and Rob S for assembling them. The old nets served us well for over 5 years of abuse but they were done. Big thanks to everyone who donated and made this $225 purchase possible. I fixed the broken donate button (right side of your screen), feel free pull out the cc and donate to the ssh kitty! (Sure everyone clicks our Amazon… Continue

I just turned-on Facebook sign-on integration. No need to enter a different username and password--ultimate convenience for the heavy fb user (Lainger, Bubbles, Peto to name a few...)

Belated thanks for the CAN v USA game (post pictures!)

Posted on June 15, 2011 at 12:00pm 5 Comments

Thanks everyone for another successful CAN v. USA game. I think it was the most competitive game in the serie thus far. Huge thanks again to our hosts Jeff and his wife, Erik and Kathryn for the food, Shnoy for the beer and Lainger for delegating. After paying for food/beers/donuts/goalie gear, the kitty now sits at $890.

I still have my eye on plugging the the Cowen park tennis court fence to create a permanent court but I'll defer to everyone on what's the best use for the…

Performances like that aren't going to get the Sabres very far in the playoffs. You can only pull a rabbit out of the hat so many times.

hi Vin, for what it's worth, the donation was meant to be from Erik as well as me. If you end up needing some (wo)manpower to put the boards together we may be able to turn out for that, depending on timing. He's out of town for another week, and then we both leave for 3 weeks on 12/15.

yes, vinny, life has been good in the UP. play drop in hockey everyday at noon (5 bucks a session) and i get street hockey going every once in awhile when i get enough kids to play. anyways i wanted to ask you about the Vegas team...Who's picking the squad this year? Kevin informed me that Doucette was taking over most of his responsibilities on the team but he hasnt returned my email so I wanted to talk to you...I want to play with my buddy Paul Quayle on a line as winger pairs. You met him before when he was in Seattle for 2 weeks. I like playing on Benny's line because we got good chemistry but me and Paul play together everyday at noon and we play on the same line in our Men's League twice a week so we know how each other plays. I also wouldn't be opposed to playing with Paul together as Defensive pairs so we can get more ice time. Vegas is coming up and I know we can score more goals if i got PQ playing out there with me...so if at all possible we can include him on the squad let me know. and if not let me know, because most likely i will still make the trip and paul will come too and just watch...i just put in my time off request for work so most likely I will be there for the tourney...Talk to you later bro...hope things are well...k peace! get at me!
