Jan 22 game to Bainbridge?!? Vegas warm-up

There has a lot of discussion about having another game in Bainbridge in anticipation for the upcoming Vegas tournament. SSH has 28 players going to Vegas, and a practice on a (near) full sized rink with boards will definitely help our the crew. Adjusting to the sheer size of the rink and line changes have been areas in need of improvement in past years.

Lost Hat

City Parks Wrap Up

Here's the Parks Department final decision on mixed use tennis courts. Judkins park is actually a very nice tennis court, but again, it would be about 40-50' shorter than where we play now, plus it's in the south end, which I don't think too many people are interested in.

Parks Department Rink Proposal - We need your support

This past Thursday, Sept 23rd Joe, Eric, Katherine and I attended a Board of Commissioners meeting for the Parks and Recreation Department regarding change of use for underused tennis courts. The meeting was somewhat dominated by the dodgeball group that wants to use Cal Anderson Park (and ONLY Cal Anderson Park) on Capital Hill. Bainbridge Island Wrap-Up

Well, by all accounts, the Bainbridge Island trip was a smashing success. Apart from the fact that I am too sore to walk today, we had a great day of hockey. The facility is top notch. Full size rink, great boards, smooth and flat surface. The weather was great, and we played a solid 4.5 hours of hockey. Open ice passing, break-aways, great goaltending...great day of hockey. Team USA - calling all patriots

Alright Yankees, time to do your country proud. Our neighbors to the north are sounding a little cocky, so let's shut them up this year.

I know we have Dan and Sharif in net. The two goalie system worked well last year...no one got too cold that way.

As for everyone else, last year it seemed to work well that offense subbed in for offense and defense for defense. So just think about what position you'd like to play, and plan on playing that for the entire game. Think about… Continue

Future SSH rink - Adam needs your help!!

Hey Guys,

This whole city converting vacant lots may or may not result in us getting a 'permanent' rink, but it seems like the best shot we've got at the current time. Canucks vs Sabres + Whistler = Fun!

For those of you not going to Vegas, the Buffalo Sabres are playing the Canucks on Monday January 25th. I'm going to the game with a bunch of friends (including Tim from MN and Jason from Buff).
