Chris Koh Bainbridge Island Bachelor party Extravaganza. Sat April 27th

***UPDATE: we have 2 goalies confirmed.  Sharif and Dan are IN!!!

The magnificent Chris Koh went ahead a got married without letting us throw him a proper bachelor party.  So here it is...better late than never.  Per his request, we're headed to Bainbridge Island to play hockey on their beautiful rink.

Saturday, April 27th, we're moving the game to Bainbridge Island to Battle Point Park.  We'll all head over on the ferry, play a couple of hours of hockey, then head to downtown Bainbridge and have some food a drink waterside.  For those who haven't been, there are restrooms and water fountains very close to the rink.  It is a lovely, huge park, great for the whole family if you're thinking about bringing them.  This is a rain or shine event, and it is April, so you never know.

DETAILS:

Ferry

Ferry leaves from the Seattle waterfront. We want to catch the 11:25 ferry to Bainbridge Island. So plan on BUYING your ferry ticket at 10:45. If you get there much later, the ferry may be full, and you'll have to wait for the 12:20. There's screwy waterfront/tunnel construction going on down there.  Just follow the signs to the ferry and you'll get there.  Once on the boat, let's meet in the galley....that's where they sell the beer.

Directions and Parking

Easy. Get off the ferry and follow the flow of traffic straight on Rt 305. Drive 3 miles and turn L on Koura Road.  Drive about a mile on Koura Road (to it's very end).  Take a Left onto Miller Rd NE and a relatively quick right onto NE Arrow Point Drive.  Check out the google map for more detail.

Park at the first park entrance you see. If that lot is full, drive around the park and enter the other lot on Battle Point Drive (there is a tiny parking lot on Frey road, but it's far far from the rink).

Carpooling

if you're interested in carpooling, post it in your response.  I'll let y'all work it out amongst yourselves.

Let's have a great showing for Chris and a fun day of hockey.

Guys, that was a lot of fun.  I'm quite sore today.  Thanks for organizing.  And Koh, congrats again on getting hitched.

Most likely out.  WARNING!!!  Six days out and my left nut is five times larger than my right.  Still very painful. Still walking bowlegged and taking some very powerful pain meds. I advise everyone to get a cup, wear it, and not go through this misery.  Koh... have a great time.

I'm in.  Still working out the details of whether my car will be filled with a wife and kids or not.  If it isn't, I can take some peeps - Katherine, note that I'm staying for food and beers after so wouldn't be able to bring you back on the 4:35.

If anyone could give me a ride who won't be staying too late (i.e. 4:35 return ferry or sooner), could you drop me a note? kmlcortes@gmail.com. I could meet at the ferry.
