Eastside Youth Street Hockey

I am excited to announce in partnership with Si View Metro parks, I will be offering a youth street hockey program indoors at Chief Kanim middle school in Fall City in January 2012. Please pass this along if you know anyone with kids within 15 minutes of Fall City, Redmond, Issaquah, Sammamish, or North Bend.

The Washington state Department of Transportation announced a contest: In 100 words or less explain what you — and 24 of your friends — would do with 30 minutes on the traffic-free viaduct. Entries (send them to viaduct@wsdot.wa.gov) close Sunday, and three judges will decide within days.

WANT TO BUILD SEATTLE PARK OUTDOOR PUBLIC HOCKEY SPACE FOR ROLLER OR STREET HOCKEY? I NEED YOUR HELP

Hi Everyone,

Would you like to come to a meeting with Seattle Parks and other folks to discuss building outdoor public spaces for roller and street hockey in the city of Seattle? If so, let me know ASAP.

Lately I've been in touch with some folks about trying to begin anew this conversation with the city. I realize last year or so the city heard some about hockey and the great interest in the sport, particularly street hockey -- and the result was that dodgeball and bike polo…

Portland Tourney

Despite the addition of Cam Green and Ovi to last year's championship team, Typhoon (we were called Tsunami last year) not fare too well this year. After winning our first game rather easily 2-0 on goals by Cam Green and Erik, we lost a tough 1-0 game in game 2. Dan made about 100 saves including 2 penalty shots but we could not break through. All 4 teams in our division were 1-1 going into the 3rd game in pool play. So it was win and in, lose and go home. We lost our final game in pool play… Continue
