Goalie Gear for Team Canada Goalie - June 4

Well, it looks like I will be goalie again for Team Canada on June 4.

That said, who has a set of goalie gear? I have none of my own left.

I will playing at Adams on May 7 and 14, and if there's goalie gear available, I will use it to practice up.

Thanks,

Andrei

Now you're scaring me. What are you looking at? Shouldn't pants/stick cost like $50?

Vinnie,
Is there any limit to what you want me to spend to pick up pants/stick?

Now for the goalie gear we have, I too have been wondering where it all has disappeared to. There was two of everything and then they all just vanished with just one set left. Like for example, where are those teal "San Jose Sharks" colored Louisville TPS goalie pads? Where is the extra goalie mask? It was I believe a NY Rangers one.

If I'm not wrong, I think Ron/Rod/Rob(can't remember his name, I just remember he would play goal once in awhile and was a Red Wings fan) used to borrow the Louisville Pads to play ice hockey (along with the black/white Reebok catcher and a CCM blocker). The last time I saw them was at the US/Can game last year and then they vanished.

Has anyone checked that storage bin at that house near the other school?

....oh and one more thing for Josh, don't by any goalie gear new (except for the mask and or/Chest-Arm protector), the asphalt is going to tear up your gear. If there is one thing you will notice is I use my Vaughn goalie pads just for the rink and never ever on the asphalt.

I don't use goalie pants when I play hockey at Adams, I use regular hockey pants. I use goalie pant's when I play at Skate King and I'm playing ball or puck hockey.

Even though it is just a ball the ball does sting when it hits you. You can use the inline girdle, but all you are going to do is tear them up on the asphalt and there is no cushion of air between your skin and the pants to distribute the impact of the ball hitting you.

I say go to Play-it-Again and get a used pair of regular hockey pants and buy a cup while you are at it.

Josh,

If you are getting more gear to complete the set, plese see if you can find another goalie helmet.

Or if you know of any good helmets for sale, let me know.

Thanks,

Andrei

Probably even cheaper to go to play it again sports in Lynnwood and buy a used pair of hockey pants. They have a sweet selection of hockey gear, used and new, I would go check em out. You can also check craigslist, I've seen cheap gear show up from time to time.

Sweet.  Do you know what Sharif and the others wear for goalie pants?  The ice hockey gear is expensive and more than necessary for ball hockey.  I am thinking something like an inline girdle would do the trick:

Mission CSX Sr Inline Girdle

Thoughts?
