This Weekend (Sat 28th) Adams' spring cleanup

It looks like the school is doing some spring cleaning this weekend, including a repainting of the US map on the blacktop. Time is supposed to run 10AM-1PM, but I'd imagine that the area will be off-limits throughout the day. Of course, the weather might not hold, so it could get pushed back to a different day. Anyone else know more about this? I'll try and get an update later this week.

I'd say let's start at Adams, and then depending on the paint situation migrate to the Heritage museum.  There might be folks who don't check the site often enough and won't see that we're playing somewhere new.

There's a clear space for us to play at 67th and 30th (only a few blocks away) near the nordic heritage museum if you guys want to try it.  It wouldn't be hard to move the nets there.  Map attached.   It's actually almost entirely fenced in.

I am new to WA and looking to play, I am in for plan A, B or C.  I'll keep checking the site to make sure.

Great idea with the sand Josh.  Rob, thanks for the heads up post.

I am in. We can always play lengthwise across the playground. I heard they are just painting the map. We could use the bumpers to stop the ball from rolling over the map.

Plan B - Margaritas at Chupa

I am out.  Will be in Europe for the next 2 weekends.

In the meantime, can someone go over to Adams right after the world map gets painted and sprinkle some fine grain sand on it?  That would help a lot with traction during the wet months...

I think when this was done a few years ago they used quick-drying paint and it was good-to-go by afternoon.

might not hurt to have a plan B though.
