Wet and cold games yesterday, but good.

What started out as a small showing of players turned out to be an excellent turnout, albeit a bit later than the proposed 2pm start-time. Benny came early to test some new board action, which didn't exactly work out yet, but I can speak for all of us when I say the ongoing work of Adam, and now Ben, is greatly appreciated. We need boards!

An afternoon filled with 5-on-5 action, with a few subs per team, was a good surprise considering the near-freezing rain. Some new faces again this week, incuding a dude with a Sharpie in his ear...and who said hockey wasn't a diversified sport! Gary Bettman's got nothing on us.

Speaking of Gary, our Gary made some specTACular saves in the latter half of the afternoon, the highlight being a post-to-post two handed theft of what should have been a wide open net goal. Somebody ate their Wheaties! Props to Dan for a good 'keeping in the early games, and hoping you feel better after having to cut things short.

Vegas is just around the corner and I regret not going. Those of you who are are really turning it on, and it shows. Good luck to you all. With Brad on our side, we don't need luck. This week's ironman award goes to Adam for gracefully taking an *accidental* shoulder to the head by yours truly, then brushing off my repeated apologies with humility. Must have been the beers I promised him afterwards.

Good games, everyone!

It was great to be back! My knee is fine. My hockey legs were a little rusty - perhaps too over zealous when Mike caught me with my head down! Wow the caliber of our play is up there! Looking forward to next Sat.

With the turnouts we're having on rainy days, what's it going to be when the fair weather returns? Might have to set up a serious league?!

The games were relatively fast paced, and it was nice to see Cory finally make it out for a game.

Vinny also had a couple beauty top shelf slappers, and came with the written excused absences of Saliba, Peto, and Andrei. hehe.

Lastly, it was nice to see someone on the Tsunami bringing some amazing talent to the game! Way to go Chuck...and you played okay too.
