Sad news : Vic is no longer with us
If you don’t know already, Vic passed away last night. He was joining Carlo for pickup roller hockey and he suddenly collapsed. Carlo found out later that night that Vic passed away.
This is a sad day in the history of ssh.com. We were just starting to get to know Vic. Great guy, magic hands, a wall in net. He had my vote for MVP of Can v. USA battle. He was commenting on the blog not even 2 days ago. Last week as netminder, he robbed me blind a bunch of times!
Vic leaves behind his wife Georginette and his 4 year old son Daniel.
We will do what we can to help Vic's family in this time of distress. If you want to contribute money, push the donate button on the site. Cash also works. All of it will go to Vic's wife and his son. We will also offer to volunteer.
Some of us are getting together this Friday to honor Vic. We're meeting at 7pm at St-Andrews. Feel free to join.

Dan, thanks for posting that link, it gives the funeral info:
"Funeral Mass and service will be held at St. James Cathedral in Seattle on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 10:00 am. "
I'll be there, as I can't be at the Vancouver tourney. Win it for Vic, boys.

Hey guys, sorry for not making the call last night... I was riding the bus and didn't want to be a nuisance to the other passengers. Anyway, I'm going to work on a tribute page for Vic this coming Monday evening. Vinny has sent me some pics to use, but if anyone else has any other images of Vic, please feel free to email them to me. I have some company in town this weekend so I won't be able to make it to St. Andrews tonight, but please know that Rachel and I want to help Vic's family out in any way we can. Can someone post Vic's address and home phone on here so that we can drop off some meals to Vic's wife? Please let me know of any other ways that we can help out, and please keep me updated on things. thanks guys.
