No mention of the gloves coming off, though...
From the Associated Press:
Feuding families cause riot of about 150 in Ala.
MARION, Ala. – Two Alabama families that had been fighting for years turned their feud into a full-scale riot Monday outside a small-town city hall, with up to 150 screaming people hurling tire irons and wielding baseball bats. Eight people were arrested, and at least four were hurt, Trooper John Reese said. Two were taken to hospitals. The…

Weather should be perfect for hockey, a little cooler than it has been. Dan and Sharif, are you guys playing? On a side-note, I'm quite curious to see what Heatley
has to say today.

I only got 4 responses from folks wanting tickets for this (Cory, Joe, Adam, and Jeff). I'm actually going to be out of town this weekend when the tickets first go on sale, and with the low response to this I'm not sure if its worth it for me to pull some strings to get internet access Saturday morning to get the tickets.
With that said, if there's strong interest posted in the form of responses to this blog post over the next 24 hours, then I'll do my best to get in front of a…

Dear Seattle Street Hockey,
There was a paltry turnout tonight for the potential Tuesday night match. only Richard and Jeff showed up to play in the 97 degree heat.
Saturday is supposed to cool off some--to 87 degrees. In the spirit of possibly getting a better turnout, and definitely playing in some cooler temps, I was proposing an early start of say 9am?
when Cory suggested this a few weeks ago, I thought it worked pretty well. Please comment if you think you might…

It was a pretty small turnout today, only one goalie (Sharif) and enough players for 4 on 4 with no subs, or 3 on 3 with 1 sub each. We flip-flopped between 4v4 and 3v3 as the heat was excrutiating and some folks (namely me and my sorry ass) needed breaks. We played just one best of 3 series, and then called it quits and head out for some Choopy's margaritas. The white team, consisting of Vinny, Benny, Erik, Rob, and Bill were victorious 2…

at least while we have the daylight!
not much of a turnout on a hot saturday this weekend-- tho worth mentioning that first-timer blake showed up with roller blades, lol. to his credit he drove all the way home to grab his sneaks and was a solid contribution to quality of play. SQ outdid himself by coordinating the color of his hat, shorts, and socks (making it better was scottie claiming he didn't know about the socks-- uh-huh, sure). KS, jeff, erik, peto rounded out the numbers for…

A couple of us have been talking about playing an extra game, Tuesday July 14th, in the evening. Say 6:30
or 7pm start? There's only a couple of months a year where we can pull this off. Sharif and Dan have already said they could play net if we get a turnout.
Reply in the comments if you can make it.
