Reminder - East/West Game @ Bainbridge - Sat Aug 16

Ladies and Gents,

For those of you that were not aware already, the SSH East/West game is scheduled for Sat Aug 16, 2014 @ Battle Point park on Bainbridge Island.  Initial details have been posted on seattlestreethockey.com already.  A few people have RSVP'd but the rosters are still a little thin.

In case people have not already RSVP'd or told me already that you are coming, please reply on the original thread on this site (not on this blog) by Friday August 8th. Also include whether you are going to be playing for East or West. Depending on the turnout we may have to alter the dividing line on the map.

As of now the rosters are as below:

West:

We have enough for 1 full line plus a goalie. Given the size of the rink, we'll need more players because all you suckers not between the pipes will have to run a lot. It'll likely be hot that day too, and it'll be much more fun if we don't all die of dehydration.

Just a reminder we are planning on having a skills competition too (hardest shot, accuracy, breakaways...) Exact details are still being ironed out.

If that isn't enough to coax people to come, then maybe this'll help: It's also Alan's 101st birthday. (My he looks so young... it's those Chinese genes).  We'll be going to a place on the island afterwards for drinks and food. Koh claims he knows a great place over there but just has to dig out the name from the personal organizer (which could take weeks given the size of that thing) so I don't have the name of the place.

We can informally organize carpooling for the ferries. Details on that will be posted in the coming days. Hopefully the recent ferry trouble will be resolved by game day.
