Last Minute - Portland Tourney
Hey guys - Portland tourney update. The tourney was completely up in the air until this week when Dave from Portland picked up the slack, and reached out to me this week letting me know they have 4 Portland teams to enter this year, asking for our 2 teams to get to a total of 6, but realistically we could enter 4 to get up to the normal 8 teams. 1 team won't do it in my opinion, if we send 2 that can still be fun with 6 teams. So, is there any interest? I believe cost will work out to ~$25/player to pay for refs/etc. Play will still be a full day, likely guaranteed 4+ games. At this stage, I propose taking all interested players and putting names in a hat to draw Seattle teams. If someone has a better idea and wants to lead this effort, by all means step in. I'm sure some guys would get a house for Friday and/or Saturday night, tbd.
I'm not sure I'm attending, but happy to facilitate the front end here. Get a hold of me or chime in to this post if you want to play and if we get the numbers I'll let the Portland guys know. Time sensitive, we need to respond to them by this weekend. Max of 8 players + 1 goalie per team. Play is 4 on 4. Need a minimum of 12 guys + 2 goalies to say yes to make it happen.

Good job me, way to leave out the date. October 6th, next weekend.
To get there, well plane, train and automobile all work. I'm sure guys will carpool.

When is the actual tourney, how competitive is it, and what's the plan for getting there?
