I would have kept playing on Saturday if it had been at all possible, like a true hockey player. But it looks like my foot is pretty busted. I have a podiatrist appointment this afternoon. Wish me luck. Hoping it is not broken as that would have me out of commission for a few weeks...
No, sticks and legs got caught up with the big guy who is a police officer (forget his name). All my weight came down on a turned ankle. I do have a bruise or two from getting in front of a Bubbles shot on Sat though...
Good news. Went to PT today and she took me out of the boot. It was mostly bruising and swelling that was/is causing the pain. She said I should be back in playing shape in 2-3 weeks. Woo hoo!
Ouch! Take it easy. I know how bad that feels after I completely tore my anterior talofibular ligaments and was on crutches for about 2 months with a cast/boot for more than 3 months. That was 4 years ago and if I over work it, it hurts. SO do as your doctor says!
Reminds me of Koh.
Fuck! Josh, you wear those new goddamn gloves to work and around the house until you heal!!! Hockey first! Healing happens on its own!
The good news is there are no breaks. The bad news is that I have a partially torn anterior talofibular ligament. Also ruptured the joint capsule, which is why there is so much bruising. I am in a walking cast/boot right now, and won't be in playing shape for six weeks or so. It will hurt the most when my new hockey gloves arrive this week and I have to let them sit until the end of December....
