I'm still new to SSH but it sounds like it's been a while since we've done an East vs. West game. I think it'd be fun to get the game going again.

A few of us have been tossing around the idea of playing the game out at the Bainbridge Island rink some time between now and the Can/Am game. It would make for a good warm up before the United States of America lays waste to the Great White North on June 2nd.

The initial proposal is to divide Canada along the Manitoba/Ontario border and to divide the US along the Mississippi River. Hopefully this shakes out to even teams but we can move around people if need be. Here's a map for those of you that skipped geography:

In order to gauge interest for the game, please fill out this Google Form: https://goo.gl/forms/syGmTNieodDT3HFM2

There a few different options for dates based on what the Bainbridge Island parks coordinator indicated was reservable. Once we have enough people committed to playing, I will go ahead and put down a deposit for the rink. It's $22/hr plus a $5 "you don't live on our island" fee. If we get a 5hr slot and 16 players (5 on 5 plus 3 subs each), the reservation comes out to $7 per person.

Now feel free to use the comment section below to make suggestions or to tell me how cool the blog images are... go!

Jake lol, I apologize but you need to have some screws loose if you don't know what side of the country I'm from. I told you the 21th may be tough for me, I may be in atlantic city that weekend.

Posted tentative rosters... Rob, I'm not sure what horse stable you were born in so I didn't know what team to put you on.

Need to spread the word over the next few weeks to make sure we have plenty of subs.

James... I don't think any of us are going to have the gas to play more than 3 hours especially with how light the rosters are right now. Also, I don't anticipate anyone kicking us off the rink after 3pm in case we want to play longer. Regardless, I think we're going to make some plans to eat, drink, and hang out out on Bainbridge after the game so it's not like you have to just drive out and drive back immediately.

Katherine and I are both East.  One or both of us will be there.

Sorry I'm out for the 21st.

Yeah I can’t make the 21st, but I can’t hit the net anymore anyway so it’s probably for the best.

I play for Team West (aka The Best). Thanks Jackass, I mean, Jake.

Planning on booking 12pm - 3pm on Saturday, April 21st. It had the most combined 1st and 2nd place votes and two of our regular sieves (Mark and Dean) would be able to make it. Any objections? For the guys that didn't list April 21st as preferred date (Dan, Lainger, Vinny, and Rob), would this date make the game a no-go for you?

Also, if you haven't done so already, please post what team you'd be playing for down in the comments. I'll start building out the rosters and add them into the original blog post.

I'm pretty sure I'm out no matter which Saturday is chosen. In for Am/Can though!

Alan, Cam, and Vinny P bring us up to 15. If we play on the 28th (the most popular date), we'd only have Mark in net but if play on the 21st (second most popular date, most popular backup), we'd have both Mark and Dean in net.

Let's get a few more forwards/defensemen to fill out the benches!
