Great turnout for 9/8 games with 4-on-4 and one sub for each team. Andrei Kreptul was consistent in net on one end and we rotated a couple goalies in at the other starting with a newcomer named Dan, and then Kevin. Both played quite well and all the games were competitive with a lot of running and hustle throughout. Peto earned the dubious distinction of winning the futility award by going 0-for-6 on the day and to add insult to injury had a goal taken away on a high stick call. Kevin had the hot hand scoring a couple dandy goals including a spin-o-rama backhander. The goal of the week honors went to Chuck however, with his Gretzky-like, or Mario-esque, bank shot from behind the net off of Kreptul and in for the score.

Chris Koh grabbed the headlines again at the post game drinkup at the Chupe when the fellas discovered he had a date with India that night despite the infamous Ikea incident!

In attendance were Rainer, Koh, Benny, Peto, Dan, Thomas, Kevin, Tom, Andrei, Bill, Dave, and Chuck.

A beauty of a backhand out of the air goal taken away no less. One of my best ones in awhile (although it was a bit high ;-). I will avenge myself this week before taking off to France for a couple of weeks of well deserved holiday.

Nice recap! I'm already looking forward to taunting Peto on the 0-6 record.
