Comment
@andrei in goal?
i am in, after a long drought.
"Still faster than most of you chumps." - spoken like a true Koh Smythe.
Out again this week, still licking my wounds. Hopefully back next week.
Yeah - definitely looking bleak. If we don't get 2 goalies and at least 8 players by noon, I'll call it.
Reminder: If you're lurking on this thread, make sure to add a comment that you can play.
Only 4 players? (4.5 if you count drunk/hungover Tanner). That's not a great turnout. I'll come play "sieve" if we get some more players.
Down to play -- goalies or not.
Hm. This is looking bleak.
Hi Jake,
Thanks for replying! Haha, I understand - I'll come and watch first, to see if I can manage w/o dragging y'all down, before playing a shift.
Josh
Josh,
There are usually a couple extra sticks floating around that you can borrow. Alternatively, you can buy a cheap one from the Big 5 sporting goods store in Ballard (relatively close to where we play).
Also, below is a notice from our "unoffish commish" that has been posted here before. We like to be inclusive but we also like to keep the game very competitive.
-------------------
"Quick PSA, although we're an inclusive bunch of guys and this is a pick up game, this is not a beginner hockey. We've all been playing for many years. If you haven't played before or you're just getting started with learning to play hockey, I can point you to many resources to teach you how to play. It's the greatest game on earth, I hope you come join us when you've had a chance to perfect your skills.
If you're not sure, come by to watch the game and see if you can hack it with us. If you can't see yourself scoring a goal on Dan, keep working on your shot!"
