This Day in Hockey History (now with triple the facts!)
June 16th, 1946 - Former NHL center Derek Sanderson born in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Sanderson played in the NHL 1965-66 through 1977-78 with Boston, the New York Rangers, St. Louis, Vancouver and Pittsburgh.
June 16th, 1990 - Buffalo Sabres traded Phil Housley, Scott Arniel Jeff Parker and a first round draft pick (Keith Tkachuk) to the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for Dale Hawerchuk and a first round draft pick (Brad May).
June 16th, 1994 - Boston's Ray Bourque set an NHL record when he was named to the First All Star team for the 11th time in his career.

I’m actually usually unavailable on Saturdays though, so I won’t be a regular player. That said, I’ll be sure to come again when I can - with my own stick - and I’ll keep eyes on this page!
