2012 Las Vegas Sin City Shootout - Want to Play?

I am gauging interest in putting a team together for the 7th Annual Sin City Shootout Street Hockey Tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 24-26, 2012 (C/D Division).  All teams are guaranteed 4 games, to include pool play and a minimum of 1 playoff game.

Per Terry Cox, the coordinator, teams and individual players are welcome, so we could join another squad (chance to meet, play, and talk hockey with guys from other parts of the continent) if we have under 10 players.  You can visit the new tournament website at www.socalhockeyevents.com for further information.

Note: Rink management has incicated that building renovations to the tune of $500,000 are in progress and are expected to be completed in time for the tournament.  Work proposed consists of new locker rooms, new bathrooms, an upstairs bar, new snack bar, and several other improvements.  Anyone who has been to this rink knows that this was much needed and long overdue.

Estimated costs are as follows:

Roundtrip airfare (Thursday evening arrival and Sunday evening departure) - Around $350.

Hotel - depending on interest and quality, from $25 to $75 a night ($75 to $225 for 3 nights).

Rental Car/gas - Around $30

Tournament Fee - $50 if 15-player team up to $75 for 10-player team

Please reply on this blog or send me an email at roba@trautmannmaher.com, if interested.

Thanks,

Rob Anthony
