Sure like the energy and what you do here folks - thanks for your efforts!
I'm a 40 something Federal Way resident who grew up on Long Island playing in a "deck hockey" league much of my mid-teens - travelled an hour 2 to 3 nights a week for games at the rink in Sayville. Coach owned a painting business, used to drive a dozen of us up there - we all sat on upside down paint buckets in the back of his business van. Some of the best times of my life...
I'd definitely enjoy showing up for a pickup game some time when I can find the time - it sounds like a blast. Have an 11 yo son who is interested in finding a place to play (we shoot around in the driveway all the time), and I've contemplated a little "grass roots" campaign down at this end by starting up a youth Friday night pickup game at a middle school parking lot nearby. Would love to hear any suggestions/info people might have about attempts to get a group of kids together on a somewhat regular basis to play...I was planning on using parent email distribution lists from other sports he's involved with to spread the word and try to drum up interest.
Thanks again - and hope I can dig out my old Mylec air-flo and join you one of these Saturdays -
