Final Results/All-Division and All-Tourney Teams:
Nick’s article as a participant:
I also have a copy of most of this from the Sunday edition of the Everett Herald.
Congrats to Kareese as Goalie on All-Tourney teams!!! Thanks Matt for hooking me up with her, she saved (pardon the pun) us many times.
If you read nothing else, take a look at Nick's article as a first time player.
My favorite moment in the tourney is a "Koh Classic":
In our third game, Chris is tripped and awarded a penalty shot. Now realize that the court we played on was small, about 50 to 60 feet long so you take about two or three steps from mid-court and shoot. During the penalty shot attempt, Chris stick handles the ball and walks so slowly that the other team has time to complain about his pace to the ref, the ref has time to respond back to them, and they have time to acknowlege the ref's response all the while Chris is still stick handling. Finally, he puts a feable shot right square into the goalie. I thought I was watching a slow-mo replay.
Looking forward to next year's event and putting a squad or two together from our group to knock Sting II off their winner's perch.
Rob
