This sounds like perfect timing to start with some other new players! I just moved to Seattle this week from Kentucky. A friend and I were going to come out and play. We'll go look for hockey sticks tomorrow. Do many other ladies play?
In.
Stand the stick up straight in front of you, with the blade on the ground. If the butt is at or close to your chin, its a good length for you. This is how I do it, anyways.
Awesome, and welcome. Cory loves new recruits.
You also each might want to pick up cheap $15 sticks at the Big 5 Sporting Goods in Ballard to make sure you get something close to the right height. It's less than half a mile from where we play (1101 N.W. Leary Way, Phone: (206) 706-7531).

Great, we'll be there.
For anyone traveling through downtown Seattle on Sat, be aware that portions of I-5 between I-90 and the Convention Center will be closed from Fri night through Sun morning. Expect really bad delays.
Hello, Chris. Welcome! We'll look forward to seeing you especially if you fill in as a goalie when we need it :-)
Most times no one starts a roll-call until Th or F, and then the bulk of the replies come from F afternoon on.
Weather is perfect this weekend, see you there.
A friend and I are newbies, this Sat will be our first time playing SH. He played ice hockey as a kid, I have no experience, but we're both athletic. He's lefty, I'm righty, hoping we can borrow some sticks to try it out. And maybe I'm odd, but I think I might enjoy playing goalie. :)
