There was some talk about a pick up game Wednesday night.  No game 7 so let's make a game of our own.

Let's go with 730pm. Post traffic.

Who's in net?

For Saturday... I can't stay much past 3, so closer to 1PM we can start, the better. I should get my new goalie gear in the mail tomorrow. I ordered some stuff that's more suitable for street hockey, so we don't have to keep dragging out the loaner gear, lol. Apparently, there is also a group that plays in Seatac... at a outdoor, fenced in court, that is designed for hockey. Complete with nets, circles, lines, etc. I may check them out on Sunday. Anyone else wanna give it a try? 

7th Annual CanAm game delivered the good times again this year.

Who wants to play street hockey on Granville?

I did this last year and it was a lot of fun. Its a day-long pick-up street hockey game in the heart of downtown Vancouver. All thats required is that you donate 2 cans of food (or more, if you're so inclined) and you get a wristband to play as long as you want.

Last day before the Can/Am game.  Whoever is playing in goal for the Can/Am game should have priority in net on 6/8, to get practice time in.

The 7th annual Canada vs USA game is set for Saturday June 15th, starting at 12:00 noon @ Adams Elementary.  As in years past, this is a best-of-7 game series.  A family-friendly celebration BBQ will be held at 4pm @ Rainer and Kelly's (7302 28th Ave NW).

I have talked to a number of guys over the last few weekends and enough players seem interested that I thought I should formally propose to the broader group the idea of having timed games for the CanAm game.

I believe timed games would accomplish the following:

1. Make for a more competitive game given the limited time to score

2. Allow for advanced tactics such as pulling the goalie or selecting which line to have in the final minutes of play
